Skoda, the renowned automobile brand, is set to expand its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio with the introduction of two new models. The Epiq, an entry-level electric city SUV, and a range-topping, seven-seat electric SUV are expected to hit the market in the coming years.

The Epiq Concept, unveiled recently, promises to offer seating for five and decent luggage space despite its 4.1M length. It features Skoda's distinctive 'Tech-Deck' face and T-shaped LED lights, giving it a modern and stylish look. The Concept is expected to be powered by a single motor with around 200bhp, promising a smooth and efficient driving experience.

Skoda has announced that the Epiq is set to go into series production starting in 2026. With a planned base price beginning around €25,000, it will be an affordable entry into the world of electric vehicles. For comparison, sibling Volkswagen models like the ID. Polo and CUPRA Raval, priced from about €25,000, typically have smaller dimensions or different features.

The Epiq Concept is also expected to have a range of up to 264 miles, making it suitable for daily commutes and weekend getaways. The interior will offer Skoda's practicality with clever luggage solutions and generous storage. It will feature physical buttons, wireless phone charging, and haptic scroll wheels for a user-friendly experience.

In addition to the Epiq, Skoda is also working on a new range-topping electric SUV. Although details are scarce, the brand has teased a new model to challenge cars like the Kia EV9. The new SUV is expected to be revealed later this year.

Skoda's push into electric vehicles seems to be paying off. The brand has revealed record sales and profits for 2024, despite the shift towards EVs. The Epiq Concept, with its butch bumpers and grey accents on the lower portions, is a testament to Skoda's commitment to delivering practical and stylish EVs to the masses.

Another exciting addition to Skoda's EV lineup is the Skoda Elroq, a new electric compact SUV set to debut in the autumn. More details about the Elroq are expected to be revealed in the coming months.

In conclusion, Skoda is making significant strides in the electric vehicle market. With the affordable Epiq and a range-topping SUV on the horizon, the brand is positioning itself as a leader in the EV revolution. Stay tuned for more updates as these exciting new models approach their respective launches.
