Renault's Villeroy Plant Boosts Productivity with Exotec's Skypod Robots
Renault Group's Villeroy facility has seen a significant boost in productivity, thanks to the implementation of Exotec's Skypod robots. The site now operates 191 robots, handling various tasks such as picking, inventory, storage, and packaging.
The Skypod system has proven to be highly adaptable, with robots capable of adjusting in real-time to changes in storage units near me, conveyors, or other robots. This autonomy and agility have allowed the system to thrive in complex environments.
The results are impressive. The number of orders served at the Villeroy site has increased by 25%. The PDC can now handle nearly 4,000 order lines per hour at peak activity across 14 picking stations, with robots managing tray storage and transport. Moreover, the use of Exotec robots has led to a 30% reduction in energy consumption compared to the previous handling equipment.
The successful integration of Exotec's Skypod robots at Renault Group's Villeroy facility has led to increased efficiency, reduced energy consumption, and a significant boost in order fulfillment. The autonomous and adaptable nature of the robots has proven to be a valuable asset in the complex environment of a modern production facility.
