Restaurant in Hollywood, powered and prepared for service - Tesla Diner
The highly-anticipated Hollywood Tesla Diner, a blend of classic American diner culture and cutting-edge technology, is expected to open its doors in the coming weeks, according to recent reports. Located at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, the diner is almost ready to serve its patrons.
The two-story, saucer-style, stainless steel structure boasts over 75 V4 Supercharger stations, making it a hub for Tesla owners. However, over the weekend of July 11, most of these stalls were occupied, yet the Cybertrucks and Model Ys were not charging. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that the workers inside were not early patrons but employees preparing the diner for its opening.
The Hollywood Tesla Diner is poised to become a prototype for a new wave of high-end Tesla charging stations. It offers fast V4 Superchargers capable of charging up to 250 kW for Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y vehicles. Interestingly, Cybertruck vehicles can charge up to 325 kW only at V4 Superchargers at the Diner.
The diner, run by LA-based chef Eric Greenspan and managed by restaurateur Bill Chait’s company Zero2One, also features a drive-in movie theater. Over the weekend of July 11, two massive movie screens were looping classic American movies such as American Graffiti and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
In addition to the charging stations and drive-in theater, the Hollywood Tesla Diner will offer rooftop seating with a bar, providing a unique dining experience for its patrons. Fences around the diner were temporarily taken down and then put back up, suggesting that final preparations are underway.
The exact opening date for the Hollywood Tesla Diner has not been announced yet, but the activity inside the diner indicates that it is nearing completion.
