Revealed release date for Xbox Ally X handheld, prior to formal declaration
The gaming world is abuzz with excitement as reliable leaker Billbil-kun has revealed some intriguing details about the upcoming Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld consoles. According to Billbil-kun's leaks, the standard Xbox Ally will be priced around €599 (£520 / $700) in Europe, while the Xbox Ally X is expected to cost €899 (£780 / $1,050).
These prices, if confirmed, would place the handhelds in the upper echelon of gaming devices. Pre-orders for both the ROG Xbox Ally X and Xbox Ally are expected to start on August 20, 2025, coinciding with Xbox's presence at Gamescom 2025. The full release date for the handhelds will reportedly be revealed during Gamescom.
The Xbox Ally comes with 512GB of storage, the AMD Ryzen Z2 A chipset, and 16GB of RAM, while the Xbox Ally X boasts a more powerful AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chipset, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of internal NVMe SSD storage. Both models feature a 7-inch 1080p IPS display that supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
The key distinction between the two models lies in their hardware specifications.
