Reveals hybrid Lynk & Co 900 model, aiming to dominate the big SUV market by Lynk & Co
The Swedish automaker, Lynk & Co, has made a splash in the luxury SUV market with the unveiling of its latest offering, the 900 plug-in hybrid SUV. This six-seater vehicle boasts best-in-class interior space and class-leading headroom and legroom, setting it apart from competitors.
The 900 comes in two high-performance hybrid variants, each equipped with a powerful petrol engine and electric motors. The 1.5T PHEV model pairs a 140 kW petrol engine with dual electric motors (160 kW front, 230 kW rear) for a combined output of 530 kW, offering a top speed of 210 km/h and accelerating from 0-60 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The 2.0T PHEV model, on the other hand, boasts a tri-motor setup producing a massive 650 kW total power, achieving a top speed of 240 km/h and 0-60 km/h in 4.3 seconds.
Both variants are equipped with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). The 1.5T PHEV model does not specify its battery capacity, while the 2.0T PHEV model is equipped with a 50 kWh ternary lithium battery, supporting fast charging. The electric range for the 2.0T PHEV model is an impressive 268 km (CLTC).
The Lynk & Co 900 features a refined unibody construction for weight and rigidity, and a design reminiscent of luxury Range Rover SUVs. The interior includes advanced technology such as a large media screen on the dashboard, and options like a 30-inch drop-down roof-mounted 6K media screen for rear passengers.
The 900 is Lynk & Co's largest vehicle to date, with dimensions of 5,240 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,810 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. It comes with three rows of seats (6 total) and is available in five exterior color options -- black, grey, blue, white, and silver.
Lynk & Co, initially focusing on gasoline vehicles, officially launched its first battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Z10 sedan, on September 6, 2024. The company recently launched its second BEV model, the compact SUV Z20, on December 22. The Lynk & Co 900 is the brand's flagship plug-in hybrid SUV for the global market.
