Ribble's New CGR Range: Versatile, All-Terrain Bikes for Everyday Use

Ribble has expanded its product line with the introduction of the CGR (Commute, Gravel, Road) range, a collection of versatile bikes designed for commuting, gravel riding, and road cycling. The CGR range offers drop bar and flat bar variants, as well as options in aluminium, carbon, titanium, and e-bike models.

Drop Bar Variants: High-End Performance and Versatility

The drop bar versions of the CGR range feature high-quality frames in titanium, aluminium, and carbon. The titanium CGR Ti model, in particular, boasts triple-butted, multi-shaped titanium tubing that delivers a balance of durability and a luxurious ride feel. This model comes equipped with road-oriented Shimano 105 or 105 Di2 groupsets and rides on 700c wheels with clearance for up to 45mm tyres, with 650b wheel compatibility for more gravel-like setups.

Modern features such as dropped seat stays, CNC-machined 3D dropouts, and a bolt-through rear axle that doubles as a mech mount are included to enhance the bike's performance and durability. Ribble’s own-brand Level handlebars are fitted on these models.

E-Bike Options: Electric Assist for Everyday Use

Ribble offers electric versions in the CGR range, integrating e-bike technology within the same multi-material, all-terrain, all-road design philosophy. These e-bikes maintain the versatility of the standard bikes, making them suitable for commuting and gravel riding with the added benefit of electric assist.

Pricing: Competitive and Customizable

While exact pricing was not detailed for all models, the titanium CGR Ti model is positioned as relatively affordable for titanium bikes but remains pricier than aluminium and entry-level carbon models due to the material and build quality. Ribble allows customization through its bike builder, which can affect the final price based on component choices.

Availability and Pricing for Specific Models - The alloy bike in the CGR range, the CGR AL, costs £1600. It is available in Racing Green, with pricing starting from £1,649 for the Shimano Tiagra HRD groupset, and up to £1,799 for the Shimano 105 groupset. - The CGR E AL e-bike is available in Black/Teal, with pricing starting from £2,899 for the Shimano Tiagra HRD groupset, and up to £3,199 for the Shimano 105 groupset. - The CGR E CARBON-X e-bike is available in Champagne Green, with pricing starting from £4,599 for the Shimano 105 Di2, £3,999 for the Apex XPLR AXS on SportFit, and £5,199 for the Shimano Ultegra Di2. - The CGR TI-X bike is available from £3,099 for the Shimano 105, £3,699 for the Shimano 105 Di2, and £3,499 for the Apex XPLR AXS on SportFit.
