Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold7 Breaks Sales Records in India

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, launched on July 9, 2025, has been making waves in the Indian market with its impressive sales performance. The device has seen unprecedented demand, garnering a record 210,000 pre-orders within the first 48 hours of its launch [1][3].

This high demand led to the device being sold out in select Indian markets shortly after launch in July 2025 [1][3]. In response, Samsung is actively increasing production at its Noida manufacturing facility to meet the strong consumer demand and reduce stock shortages [1][3].

The Galaxy Z Fold7's pricing in India starts at Rs 1,74,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model, scaling up to Rs 2,10,999 for the top-tier 16GB + 1TB variant [1][4]. Sales data indicates that the Galaxy Z Fold7 is even outselling the Z Flip 7 in India, a reversal of previous trends, showing strong consumer preference for the foldable phone-tablet hybrid [3].

The Galaxy Z Fold7 boasts a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. When unfolded, it offers an 8-inch QXGA+ AMOLED inner screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate [2]. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and comes with up to 16GB RAM, offering smooth performance [2].

In terms of photography, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is equipped with a 200MP primary camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera [2]. The device also features a 10MP cover selfie camera and a 10MP inner screen selfie camera [2].

The Galaxy Z Fold7 comes in four color options: Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Mint, and Jet Black [2]. Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President of MX Business at Samsung India, stated they are working overtime to ensure adequate supplies of the Galaxy Z Fold7 [1]. With its impressive features and strong sales performance, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is set to redefine the foldable smartphone market in India.
