Seiko Unveiled Two Authentic 'Pepsi' Timepieces
In an unexpected move, Seiko has partnered with Pepsi to release two limited-edition watches, officially dubbed as the "Pepsi" watches. The collaboration, which debuted in September 2025, features the iconic blue-red "Pepsi" bezel, a design element that has become synonymous with desirability in the world of horology.
The two models, the SRPL99 and SSK047, each limited to 7,000 pieces, are a testament to Seiko's playful side and its commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable timepieces.
The SRPL99, with a case diameter of 38.0 mm, boasts a stainless steel case, a 3-link brushed steel bracelet, and an automatic Caliber 4R36 movement with a day-date function. The watch's dial features silvery-white hour markers and hands, with blue outlines for added contrast. The watch's most striking feature is its unidirectional rotating bezel, sporting a metallic blue-and-red "Pepsi" color insert.
On the other hand, the SSK047, with a larger 42.5 mm case, comes with a hard-coated stainless steel case and a Pepsi-branded silicone strap. Powered by the automatic Caliber 4R34, this watch offers a 24-hour GMT hand for dual time-zone display. The SSK047 is the first SKX-series GMT model on a silicone strap, making it a unique addition to the collection.
Both models come with see-through screw case backs, engraved limited edition serial numbers, and Pepsi can-inspired packaging, emphasizing the collaboration's branding and collector appeal.
This collaboration marks Seiko's first official foray into the world of Pepsi branding. The watches celebrate the synergy of Seiko’s durable, affordable sports watches with Pepsi’s vibrant branding, making them desirable for collectors bridging pop culture and horology.
The SRPL99 revives the retro SKX-series design in a compact and robust package reminiscent of Seiko’s classic sports watches. Meanwhile, the SSK047 introduces a GMT function with a Pepsi bezel in the SKX lineup, broadening options for enthusiasts.
These watches not only extend the long-standing fascination with the "Pepsi" color motif in watchmaking but also highlight Seiko's strategy to blend vintage inspirations with modern collector appeal.
The release of Seiko's "Pepsi" watches signifies a departure from the brand's usual offerings, making them a significant event in the horological world. With their attractive design, technical interest, and officially sanctioned status, these watches are likely to be sought after by collectors.
