Over the course of four days, SiGMA Africa 2025 brought together 2,500 delegates, including industry leaders, government officials, and startups, for a series of insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and business events. The summit fostered conversations on leadership, mentorship, and equal opportunities within the gaming sector, as well as the growing convergence between gaming, blockchain, and fintech.

In addition to the awards, the summit provided a platform for discussions on Africa's regulatory landscape, market expansion, and digital transformation. Industry leaders shared strategies to navigate Africa's rapidly evolving ecosystem, underlining the importance of collaboration and education in driving growth.

The participation of H.E. Dennis Vella, Malta's Ambassador for Digital Economy, further strengthened SiGMA Africa's commitment to global industry partnerships. Vella provided valuable insights on Malta's role in fostering business cooperation between Africa and Europe.

Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, gave the keynote address at the opening ceremony, emphasising Cape Town's role as a key player in Africa's digital economy.

Looking ahead, SiGMA Africa's successor, BiS SiGMA Americas, will take place in São Paulo, Brazil. This event, scheduled for later in 2025, is expected to gather 18,000 delegates, 600 exhibitors, and 300 speakers, making it the region's most anticipated gaming event.

SiGMA's global presence and influence also extend to other regions, including Europe and the Middle East. The SiGMA Euro-Med 2025 summit is scheduled for early September 2025 at Portomaso Casino, Malta, highlighting Malta's role as a hub for innovation, regulation, and hospitality in the gaming sector.
