In the recent Battlefield 6 Open Beta, a critical bug known as the "super bullet" glitch has been reported. This issue causes players to die unexpectedly fast, with time-to-death (TTD) being abnormally quick, often dying instantly from what sounds like a single bullet. The bug seems to register multiple hits server-side, causing damage to stack incorrectly and players to be eliminated instantly or taking multiple hits at once that are only registered after a delay.

Developers, including principal game designer Florian Le Bihan, have publicly asked the player community to share video examples of the glitch to help investigate and pinpoint the cause for a fix before the full launch on October 10, 2025. Some videos are already available online, demonstrating the glitch in live gameplay.

In one community video, bullets are shown dealing far more damage than intended in a single frame due to damage stacking bugs under certain conditions. The developers have stated that this isn't intentional and are actively investigating, though they cannot hotfix it mid-beta without risking other systems.

The Battlefield 6 Open Beta was popular, achieving a player count of over 500K+ on Steam, surpassing Call of Duty's record. The game is set to be a comeback for the Battlefield franchise, as it has struggled to remain relevant against competitors like Call of Duty. Preorders for Battlefield 6 are live now on various platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC (Steam, the EA app, and Epic Games), and PS5.

The Weapon Sling gadget for the Assault class in Battlefield 6, allowing for carrying both a rifle and a shotgun into battle without a disadvantage at any range outside of sniping distances, has also been a point of discussion among players. Other feedback includes feeling like vehicles are too weak and need better health, damage, and/or aiming and handling.

Despite these issues, players have praised the return of the series' classes, creative new gadgets, advanced map-altering destruction systems, and more in Battlefield 6. The standard edition of the game costs $69.99, with EA avoiding $80 games for now.

If you want to assist in the investigation or review examples, searching for Battlefield 6 "super bullet bug" videos on YouTube or checking Battlefield forums and subreddit threads from August 2025 should yield firsthand recordings submitted by players during or after the open beta. DICE and other Electronic Arts (EA) studios are looking into the glitch and are committed to providing a smooth gaming experience for players.
