Spain's electric vehicle (EV) market is thriving. In the first half of 2025, sales of electric cars skyrocketed by 83% compared to the same period last year. One in five vehicles sold now has some form of electrification.
The country has witnessed a significant rise in charging points. High-power chargers (50-250 kW and above 250 kW) have surged by 64.07% and 53.71% respectively. Rapid chargers (22-50 kW) have also increased by 21.34%. Consequently, Spain now boasts nearly 50,000 active public access charging points for EVs.
This growth is fueling the electric mobility sector. Over 27,000 electric cars were sold in the first half of 2025, with over 11,000 being pure electric passenger cars.
Spain's electric vehicle infrastructure is rapidly expanding, with nearly 47,519 active charging points. This growth, bolstered by fiscal incentives and increasing market demand, reflects Spain's dedication to sustainable mobility.
