The 2025 OPUS Award, a prestigious accolade honoring excellence in the event industry, has announced its winners. The awards event, held during Prolight + Sound on April 10, marked a significant shift for the OPUS, now known as the "Opus - International Stage Award." The transformation includes an international focus and the introduction of new categories that better represent the event industry's diversity.

Three additional categories were introduced for 2025 - Opus Event Lighting, Opus Immersive Sound, and Opus Camera & Image. The Opus Camera & Image, created in collaboration with the German Federal Association of Television Cameramen (BVFK), also saw public participation through a vote.

The Berlin-based creative agency flora&faunavisions was recognized in the Opus - International Stage Award category for its breathtaking reinterpretation of Wagner's "Ring of the Nibelung." By combining classic opera theater with cutting-edge technology, the performance dazzled audiences with interactive costumes, motion sensors, motion tracking, and AI-generated content.

British composer Christo Squier won the Opus Immersive Sound Award for his unique sound installation, "Visitor." This installation converted cosmic muons into light and sound in real time, offering visitors a captivating and ethereal experience that bridged science and art.

B'in Live from Taiwan garnered the Opus Event Lighting Award for their spectacular lighting design at the "Heaven & Dirt" concert by the band deca joins. The innovative lighting not only complemented the poetic depth of the music but immersed the audience in an intense, emotional concert experience.

Sportcast GmbH, a subsidiary of DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga, received the Opus Camera & Image Award for their dynamic and immersive Bundesliga broadcasts. The company’s use of innovative camera technologies, such as the Aerial Camera System and the Railcam, has raised the bar for sports broadcasting, making the Bundesliga's media presence stronger than ever.

With its expanded categories, international focus, and impressive winning projects, the revamped OPUS Award cements its place as one of the most prestigious honors in the event and entertainment industry.
