In the Asian trading session, the U.S. dollar struggled for direction, while gold edged lower and oil prices rebounded, gaining 1.6 percent to $68.71 a barrel [8].

Elsewhere, the ten-year treasury Note auction will be held at 1.00 pm ET, and the Energy Information Administration's Petroleum Status Report for the week is scheduled at 10.30 am ET [9]. In the prior week, crude oil inventories were up 7.7 million barrels, while Gasoline inventories were 2.7 billion barrels [9].

Fed Governor Lisa Cook and Boston Fed President Susan Collins will participate in a discussion on the U.S. and global economy before the "A Central Bank Perspective on the Evolving Global Landscape" event organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston at 2.00 pm ET [10]. San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly will participate in a moderated conversation before the 2025 Anchorage Economic Summit hosted by the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation at 3.10 pm ET [11].

In Australia, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 climbed 0.84 percent to 8,843.70, and the broader All Ordinaries index closed up 0.91 percent at 9,111.10 [12].
