Subaru Continues its Tradition of Charity for 17th Consecutive Year

Subaru of America, Inc. has announced the return of its annual philanthropic event, the Subaru Share the Love, for the 17th consecutive year. This event, one of the most impactful automotive charitable campaigns in the U.S., aims to raise over $320 million for local hometown charities and national partners.

Since its inception in 2008, the Subaru Share the Love Event has donated tens of millions of dollars to its four national charity partners: the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, and the National Park Foundation.

Supporting National Charities

ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)

The ASPCA benefits from funding that supports animal rescue, shelter, and advocacy programs. Subaru's support has had a significant impact, enabling the ASPCA to rescue, transport, and adopt over 134,000 animals across the country.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Make-A-Wish uses donations to grant wishes to children with critical illnesses, enhancing their quality of life. Through the Subaru Share the Love Event, Subaru and its retailers have helped grant the life-changing wishes of over 3,600 kids with critical illnesses.

Meals on Wheels America

Meals on Wheels America receives funds to provide meals and deliver vital nutrition to homebound seniors, promoting their health and independence. Over the years, the Subaru Share the Love Event has helped deliver more than 4.6 million meals and friendly visits to America's seniors.

National Park Foundation

The National Park Foundation utilizes donations to help protect national parks and fund educational programs that connect people with nature. Through the Share the Love Event, Subaru is providing critical funding to programs and projects that help protect America's more than 400 national parks.

Supporting Local Communities

Many retailers will donate $5 to their registered hometown charity for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit during the campaign period. Retailers can also add local hometown charities with causes important to their communities to receive at least an additional $50 for each vehicle sold or leased.

For every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased from November 21, 2024, through January 2, 2025, Subaru will donate $250 to the customer's choice of charity. Purchasers/lessees must make their charity designations by January 10, 2025. The four national charities will receive a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 each.

Subaru is the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA and Make-A-Wish, and the largest automotive donor to both Make-A-Wish and Meals on Wheels America. This year's event aims to reach a cumulative total of nearly $320 million in donations, reflecting Subaru’s commitment to social responsibility and community support.

With the return of the Subaru Share the Love Event, the company continues to demonstrate its dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities across the United States.

Technology plays a crucial role in the Subaru Share the Love Event, as the company uses advanced systems for tracking donations and ensuring funds are distributed efficiently to charities.

The Subaru Share the Love Event, in addition to supporting national charities, also encourages a healthy lifestyle through sports, as many retailers organize community sports events to raise extra funds.
