Sverdlovsk Oblast & Belarus Strengthen Ties at INNOPROM; Twin City Agreement Signed
Sverdlovsk Oblast, led by Governor Dmitry Pasler, has been strengthening ties with Belarus. The region's participation in the 15th Yekaterinburg INNOPROM and the signing of a twin city agreement between Yekaterinburg and Gomel highlight this growing cooperation.
The INNOPROM event, held from September 30, featured 390 stands displaying cutting-edge technologies and products from top Russian and international companies. Sverdlovsk Oblast's stand, covering 20,000 sq.m, showcased 10 enterprises offering modern solutions.
The event also marked a significant step in bilateral relations. Governor Pasler met with Belarus officials to discuss developing relations between Sverdlovsk Oblast and the Union State. Agreements were reached for the supply of passenger transport, communal machinery, and elevator equipment from Belarus. Additionally, Ural's Pneumostroitmash plant continues its cooperation with BelAZ in producing hydraulic pumps in Pinsk, Brest region.
The twin city agreement between Yekaterinburg and Gomel is expected to foster joint events and strengthen humanitarian cooperation. Meanwhile, Belarus continues to supply equipment, including BelAZ vehicles, to Sverdlovsk Oblast's mining and metallurgical enterprises.
The successful hosting of the 15th Yekaterinburg INNOPROM and the signing of the twin city agreement demonstrate the growing partnership between Sverdlovsk Oblast and Belarus. These developments are set to enhance economic and cultural ties between the two regions.
