Tech giant Google prematurely reveals the Pixel 10 Pro, hints at an exclusive deal
Google has announced the much-anticipated release of its latest smartphone, the Pixel 10, set to launch on August 20, 2025. The Pixel 10 promises a mid-to-high-range flagship experience, with a strong focus on AI capabilities, a bright and smooth display, and a powerful Tensor G5 chip.
The Pixel 10 boasts a 6.3-inch Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz LTPO AMOLED panel, offering a peak brightness of around 3,000 nits, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both front and back. This durable design ensures the Pixel 10 can withstand everyday use, while its advanced display promises smooth, lag-free performance.
Under the hood, the Pixel 10 is powered by the Google Tensor G5 chip, fully designed by Google and manufactured by TSMC using an advanced second-generation 3nm process. This chip promises improved performance and efficiency over previous generations, ensuring the Pixel 10 can handle even the most demanding tasks with ease.
The Pixel 10 comes with 12 GB of RAM and storage options of 128 GB and 256 GB. It also features a 4,870 mAh battery, supporting up to 29W wired charging with Google’s adapter and up to 15W wireless charging.
In terms of camera, the Pixel 10 features a dual rear camera setup and a front-facing selfie camera, with the main sensor likely similar to previous generations. The camera setup is expected to remain mostly familiar without radical changes, focusing on delivering high-quality images and videos.
The Pixel 10 will be slightly smaller than the Pixel 10 Pro models, but it is aimed to maintain flagship-level specifications and improved brightness and durability compared to the Pixel 9.
The Pixel 10 Pro, one of the Pro variants, is expected to have a Moonstone colour and will reportedly start with a 256GB model. The Pixel 10 Pro can be distinguished from the Pixel 9 Pro by the temperature sensor below the flash in the camera array.
It's worth noting that the Pixel 10 Pro has already been pictured as part of the teaser campaign, hinting at its upcoming release. The teaser campaign for the Pixel 10 has started on the Google Store, with sign-ups available for more information about the launch.
In addition to the Pixel 10, Google is also expected to launch the Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Watch 4 alongside the Pixel 10 models. New subscribers may also benefit from an exclusive offer, but the details are yet to be disclosed.
There's also an interesting reference in the code behind the teaser to a video of a prompt being typed out, asking Gemini to write a break-up letter to their old phone. This hints at a possible theme or feature related to the Pixel 10's software or user experience.
With its focus on the camera and Google’s continued drive towards an experience defined by Gemini, the Pixel 10 is shaping up to be an exciting addition to Google's smartphone lineup. For those looking to upgrade their current device, great deals on the Pixel 9 models are currently available.
The Pixel 10, with its advanced technology, includes a powerful Tensor G5 chip and a dual rear camera setup, setting it apart as one of Google's flagship smartphones. Moreover, in line with the new product lineup, it's anticipated that Google will launch the Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Watch 4 alongside the Pixel 10 models.
