Tesla Expands Live Activities to Mobile Service Appointments

Tesla is expanding its Live Activities feature, first introduced for Supercharging, to now cover mobile service appointments on iPhone. Owners can monitor their T-Mobile service visit status at a glance on the iOS Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. The company also hints at future Live Activities like Roadside Assistance and Cabin Preconditioning.

Initially launched earlier this year, Live Activities allowed Tesla owners to view charging progress without unlocking their phones. Now, the feature has been extended to T-Mobile service appointments. Owners can see real-time updates, including the technician's estimated time of arrival, progress, and service confirmation.

Currently, this service is limited to mobile technician visits, not longer service center appointments. However, Tesla is expected to adopt Google's Live Updates once widely available on Android. Future Live Activities may include Roadside Assistance and Cabin Preconditioning, further enhancing the Tesla ownership experience.

Tesla's expansion of Live Activities to T-Mobile service appointments offers owners real-time updates and convenience. With potential future features like Roadside Assistance and Cabin Preconditioning, Tesla continues to innovate and improve its services. The company is also preparing for Android integration with Google's Live Updates.
