Tesla grants Cybertruck proprietors a one-year trial for Full Self-Driving capabilities
Tesla recently announced a free 1-year trial of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature for some Cybertruck owners in the United States. However, this offer does not extend to non-Launch Series Cybertruck owners in Canada.
In Canada, Tesla offers a one-month free trial of FSD (Supervised) with new purchases, including the Cybertruck. Additionally, a one-year Premium Connectivity trial is available for Cybertruck buyers, but this is separate from the FSD trial.
Unlike the U.S. promotions that include 30-day (or three-month with referral) FSD trial periods, the longer free trial offers or extended trials do not appear to be advertised in Canada. Referral links can provide up to three months of free FSD on top of the standard trial periods, but they do not offer a free 1-year trial.
Despite this, some Cybertruck owners who were already subscribed to FSD received an offer for a 1-year extension of their subscription. However, no Canadian incentives mention a free 1-year FSD trial specifically for Cybertruck owners who are not Launch Series purchasers.
It's important to note that the offer does not affect the cancellation policy for the FSD subscription. The Autosteer feature will not be available for the Cybertruck outside of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) package.
In conclusion, while Canadian buyers can receive shorter FSD trial periods, a free 1-year Full Self-Driving trial is not currently available for Cybertruck buyers outside the U.S. or for non-Launch Series models as of mid-2025.

The technology giant, Tesla, does not currently offer a free 1-year trial of its Full Self-Driving feature for Cybertruck buyers in Canada, unlike the promotions available in the United States. Instead, Canadian buyers can only avail of a one-month free trial of FSD (Supervised) with new purchases, along with a one-year Premium Connectivity trial in the automotive industry. Also, the finance sector has not seen any advertisements for longer free trial offers or extended trials in Canada for the Cybertruck.
