Social media platforms were buzzing with fans sharing their thoughts about the event on February 8. Popular MMA account Spinnin Backfist posted a Daniel Cormier meme as the reaction.

Journalist Alex Behunin of MMA Mania chimed in, commenting: "Fun prelims, horrific PPV."

A fan agreed, stating:

"Underrated bangers. This would be an all-time fight night. No disrespect, but Tafa as a featured fight on a PPV and Jake Matthews as a main card in 2025 is insane. Compete this with UFC 311. Anybody saying this is a great PPV card is trying too hard to be a diehard."

Another critic slammed the card, calling it "a 1/10 card." This isn't entirely accurate, but it was a common sentiment.

But is the card really that bad? On paper, it certainly looks weaker than UFC 310, which was affected by Belal Muhammad's withdrawal from the main event.

Despite criticisms, there's still excitement around the main and co-main events, particularly the UFC Middleweight Championship and the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship.

However, the pay-per-view card as a whole has raised concerns among fans, who are tired of inconsistent matchmaking and rising ticket and pay-per-view prices.

In terms of the main event, fans have mixed feelings about the rematch between Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland. The first fight wasn't particularly exciting, and Strickland's aggressive style isn't a crowd-pleaser for everyone.

As for the co-main event, fans are eager to see Weili Zhang return to the octagon, but they're less enthused about her matchup with Tatiana Suarez. Suarez has been plagued with injuries, which has limited her activity in recent times.

Despite these criticisms, as a dedicated MMA fan, I'm still looking forward to covering the fights in February 2023. Regardless of the mixed reactions, the main and co-main events promise to be exciting matches.

  1. Some fans are wondering when UFC 312 will take place, as they're eager to watch Dricus Du Plessis defend his UFC Middleweight Championship against Sean Strickland in the main event.
  2. Despite the criticisms of the UFC 312 card, many MMA enthusiasts are excited to see Weili Zhang defend her UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship against Tatiana Suarez in the co-main event.3.Pierecing through the negative feedback, UFC 312's UFC Middleweight Championship bout between Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland is featured on the UFC 312 card, along with the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship match-up between Weili Zhang and Tatiana Suarez.
