TMX Group Acquires Verity to Enhance Data and Analytics Services
TMX Group has bolstered its data and analytics services with the acquisition of Verity, a leading provider of buy-side investment research management systems and insights. The deal strengthens TMX Datalinx's offerings, enhancing its position in global investment-grade data and workflow tools across multiple asset classes.
Verity brings two core products to TMX Datalinx: VerityRMS, a top-tier research management system, and VerityData, featuring advanced datasets and insights focused on public equity filings. The acquisition also adds dynamic financial data and proprietary analytics, such as insider activity, buybacks, and institutional holdings, along with expert financial industry talent.
Michelle Tran, President of TMX Datalinx, sees the acquisition as a way to optimize intellectual capital and enrich workflows with best practices and continuous innovation. TMX Datalinx plans to further develop VerityData and VerityRMS, including their AI capabilities, to improve client investment outcomes and operational efficiencies.
Verity's CEO, Andrew Robson, expressed excitement about the future of Verity and its global customer base as part of TMX Datalinx. The acquisition enhances TMX Group's data and analytics services, providing clients with more comprehensive and innovative investment tools.
