Fire Up Your Streaming Game with Elgato's Stream Deck Everywhere!

Get ready to level up your streaming game, as Elgato unveils their revolutionary new initiative at Computex 2025 - Stream Deck Everywhere. This exciting move introduces a suite of new projects, some minor, while others push the boundaries of our expectations. Let's dive into the details!

First off, the talk of the town is the Virtual Stream Deck (VSD) application, which aims to bring Elgato's Stream Deck interface to a whole new range of devices. This software marvel effectively lets you turn your own devices into an Elgato Stream Deck! Exciting, right? While open-source alternatives have existed, like this Raspberry Pi-powered DIY stream deck, an official launch from Elgato can be quite intriguing. Despite being in beta since late May 2025, the VSD promises to provide a user-friendly, integrated, and supported solution, while DIY alternatives offer hardware customization at the cost of greater complexity and less seamless software support.

The new VSD software will gradually become available for more devices over time. You can either keep it fixed on your screen or summon it dynamically via a hotkey near your cursor. The UI mimics the familiar 15-key physical layout of traditional Stream Decks, providing a virtual control surface for automating workflows and managing applications directly from your computer screen. And the best part? No extra hardware is required once it's unlocked!

Another exciting development is the variant of the Stream Deck MK.2, decked out with Scissor-Switch keys. This edition promises a faster response time than regular membrane keys. If you're not acquainted with the Stream Deck MK.2, take a moment to check out our review and see what it's all about. Overall, we rated it 4 out of 5 stars.

A network dock by the same name, Network Dock, is also on the horizon. It offers a hardwired network option for Stream Deck devices, connecting to the Stream Deck via USB and supporting both PoE and non-PoE connections. Corsair, Elgato's parent company, confirmed that the IP address could be managed directly on the device.

Lastly, there's the Stream Deck Module, a modular platform for DIY enthusiasts to build their own control systems. Available in different sizes, these are housed in an aluminum chassis, ready to drop into your projects.
