Turkish, Hungarian Forces Showcase Nurol Makina's Gidran Vehicles in Major NATO Exercise
Turkish forces, alongside Hungarian and other NATO allies, recently participated in a major military exercise, Adaptive Hussars 2025. The event showcased the capabilities of Nurol Makina's high-protection, high-mobility platforms, including the Ejder Yalcin vehicles, operating as Ford in the Hungarian Armed Forces.
Over 100 Ford vehicles took part in the exercise, which involved 22,000 personnel and tested Hungary's defense capacity at the tactical level. These vehicles, customized by Nurol Makina with input from Hungarian Army experts and Ministry of Defense officials, demonstrated rapid deployment and force protection capabilities. They proved particularly effective during mobility-intensive phases, such as transit, logistics support, and reconnaissance missions.
The exercise also marked a significant step in Hungary's military modernization. Local production of these Ford vehicles is set to begin next year, with plans to manufacture over 400 units in Hungary through a partnership between Nurol Makina and Raba. This will increase Hungary's Ford 4x4 fleet fivefold. Nurol Makina Hungary teams provided intensive maintenance, repair, and logistics support during the exercise, ensuring the vehicles' high-field performance.
The successful participation of Turkish forces and the Ford vehicles in Adaptive Hussars 2025 highlights the growing cooperation between Turkey and Hungary in military technology. The upcoming local production of these vehicles further strengthens this partnership and Hungary's military capabilities.
