Lights Out, Baby, a UK gaming disruptor in the sportsbook and casino scene, rakes in a whopping $10m ($7.7m GBP) during a Series B funding round.

This round saw the involvement of Discerning Capital, Raine Group, Play Ventures, Venrex, and Big Bets, with additional investments, bringing Midnite's total capital raised to a staggering $35m.

David Williams, one of Midnite's board members, spilled the beans, stating, "With investors tuned in to the global gaming industry, we're super pumped to team up with Midnite's gang who've crafted one of the sexiest challenger brands out there. The company's relentless growth and marketing efficiency vindicate their unique stand in the competitive UK market and their top-tier status as a rising star in the global gaming industry."

Midnite, founded in 2018 by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu – the brains behind daily fantasy sports platform Dribble alongside Sky Bet – first launched its sportsbook. In 2023, they added horse racing and casino to the mix, expanding their team from 60 to a mighty 110 over the past year.

Nick Wright, co-founder of Midnite, gushed, "We're stoked to welcome investment from some of the most badass gaming investors out there. The scratch brings the green lights for us to step on the gas and amp up our growth game while continuing to crank out game-changing products. Our player-centric approach is what's got us to the pool hall, and we'll always keep the experience of our players as our top priority. We ain't got jack in the UK market when it comes to product foundations and speed."

Wright continued, "Our goal is to storm the UK betting scene and become a top-notch operator with a challenger brand for a new breed of players. With this backing, we're free to roll, take risks and keep delivering fresh and thrilling experiences for the market."

Midnite recently announced its role as the official UK betting and casino partner for the 2025 World Snooker Championship. On the heels of its first TV advertising campaign promoting its casino, a 30-second ad hit screens on Sky, Channel 4, and 5, across both linear TV and streaming platforms.
