Availability and Accessibility
The "Create" tab began rolling out in August 2025, starting with the U.S. and gradually expanding to other regions. It is part of version 7.40 of the Google Photos app and is available on both Android and iOS devices.
The "Create" tab is located between the "Search" and "Collections" tabs, marked by a paintbrush icon. Additionally, a small plus icon at the top of the Create tab provides a drop-down menu for quick access to these features.
While the update has been spotted, it is not yet available on all devices and is expected to be more widely distributed over time. Google plans to release a follow-up update for regions not yet ready for the "Create" tab.
