Varonis Unveils AI-Powered Email Security Solution to Combat Sophisticated Phishing
Varonis Systems has unveiled a new email security solution, Varonis Interceptor, to combat the rising threat of phishing attacks leveraging large language models (LLMs). Available since October 2025, Interceptor offers multi-layered AI protection for users across various platforms, including Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and other email services.
Interceptor's AI Phishing Sandbox evaluates post-click behaviour, simulating user actions in a virtual browser to detect sophisticated phishing campaigns targeting Gmail login, Yahoo mail, and other email accounts. It uses specialized AI models, natural language processing, computer vision, and behavioural analysis to identify new attacks in real-time across different email services.
The solution provides live threat intelligence, alerting organizations to millions of scanned URLs, brand impersonation attempts, and zero-hour phishing campaigns targeting Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and other email services. It stops breaches at the earliest point of attack - the inbox, offering automated remediation to remove inbound threats and neutralize links at scale using flexible policies. Interceptor also defends users across multiple channels, including email and collaboration apps like Microsoft Teams, Slack, and WhatsApp, protecting users' Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and other email accounts.
Varonis Interceptor's advanced AI capabilities enable it to detect and block social engineering attacks from both trusted and compromised sources targeting Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and other email services. By offering multi-channel defence and automated remediation, Interceptor strengthens organizations' email security posture in the face of evolving phishing threats targeting Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, and other email accounts.
