Vietnam SuperPort's Off-Airport Cargo Terminal Set to Revolutionize Regional Logistics

Vietnam SuperPort is set to unveil its Off-Airport Cargo Terminal (OACT) soon, a strategic addition to its multimodal logistics hub in Phu Tho Province. The OACT, covering over 11,000 square metres, boasts an annual handling capacity of approximately 50,000 tonnes.

The OACT, one of Vietnam's pioneering Off-Airport Cargo Terminals, is designed to function as an 'extended air cargo terminal'. It aims to facilitate the flow of goods between Vietnam and the China-ASEAN region, linking directly to international airlines and key markets.

Vietnam SuperPort, a joint venture between YCH Group and T&T Group, spans 83 hectares. The OACT is a crucial part of its plan to develop a modern, intelligent cargo terminal using AI and robotics. This will enable full digitalisation and establish an integrated logistics platform for online tracking and booking of services.

Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort, recently presented the OACT to delegates. The terminal is expected to enhance Vietnam's integration into the global supply chain, reduce logistics costs, and strengthen its competitive edge in international trade.

The OACT, with its strategic location and advanced technology, is poised to significantly improve Vietnam's cargo handling capabilities. Its official launch will mark a significant milestone for Vietnam SuperPort and the country's logistics industry.
