Vodafone Oman Collaborates with Software Group to Enhance Digital Financial Services in Alignment with Vision 2040

In a move to extend financial access to underserved segments and stimulate economic participation in Oman, Vodafone Oman and Software Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaborating on digital financial services.

The partnership aims to provide customers with secure and convenient ways to manage their everyday needs, aligning with Oman's Vision 2040, which emphasizes digital transformation, financial inclusion, and sustainable economic development.

Vodafone Oman's priority is to remove barriers for customers in accessing essential services, with financial services being a key focus. The collaboration will explore offerings based on Software Group's DigiWave Digital Banking Platform, designed to meet the evolving needs of Oman's financial ecosystem, supporting banks, fintechs, government agencies, and enterprises.

The partnership will include digital channel solutions such as mobile wallets, agency banking, mobile and internet banking, digital lending, and integration services. By working together, the companies aim to combine global expertise with Vodafone Oman's digital-first approach to deliver meaningful solutions for customers in Oman.

Kalin Radev, CEO of Software Group, expressed excitement about the partnership with Vodafone Oman. He stated, "We are thrilled to collaborate with Vodafone Oman to accelerate the growth of Oman's digital economy by enabling access to next-generation financial services for individuals, businesses, and institutions."

Sayyid Fahad Abdul Aziz Saud Al-Busaidi, the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Vodafone Oman, shared similar sentiments, saying, "This partnership provides a strong foundation for inclusive, technology-driven services that will empower communities in Oman."

The collaboration seeks to enhance financial inclusion by delivering customer-centric digital channels and solutions. By fostering greater convenience, accessibility, and empowerment across the population, the partnership aims to contribute to the realization of Oman's Vision 2040 by accelerating the nation's shift toward a sustainable digital economy.
