The revamped service, now called 'Ultimate', will provide premium games like 'The Outer Worlds 2' on its release day, October 29, 2025. This title will be playable on Xbox Series X/S, Cloud, and PC for Ultimate subscribers.
Microsoft's strategy aims to counter sluggish console sales and economic uncertainty by investing heavily in its subscription service. The company has also rebranded its tiers, with 'Essential' and 'Premium' now offering unlimited cloud gaming.
